Archbishop Di Noia has presented to the Society a new test that could be called the Jewish Test. Pray especially to Saint Maximilian Kolbe that this Jewish Test does not become for the Society a crash test.
Has the priestly Society of Saint Pius X changed? Has it lost its anti-Liberal militancy? Are the priests of the Society now open to compatibility with the designs of Judaism?
Yes, say some, since according to La Croix, His Lordship Bishop Fellay is the “man of dialogue”: “The Jews are our elder brothers in the sense that we have something in common”. (Famille Chrétienne, February 2009).
No, say others, because according to the ‘Christian’ newspaper La Vie, owned by Louis Dreyfus, Bishop Fellay is an anti-Semite who declared “enemies of the Church,” to be “Jews, Freemasons, Modernists” (La Vie, January 7, 2013).
How can one decide between these two judgments, if not by the Jewish Test? This test is used to check if a priest is able to teach traditional Catholic doctrine concerning the Jews by example of Saint Maximilian Kolbe.
In 1985, the Italian District of the priestly Society of Saint Pius X published an article on the Jewish question. That same year, the internal review of the Society presented “this text for colleagues to read because of its intrinsic value.” The article pointed out that “the Jewish question is religious and theological. A stiff-necked people (Deut. IX. vi and xiii) who rejected the prophets and killed the Messiah, they are now hostile to God and to His Church until the end of time, when they will be converted to Him (Rom. XI.xv). Their original election, this final battle and their future conversion are all to be framed within human history”.
Among many Fathers the author quotes St. Justin Martyr (d. 165): “you have slain the Just One, and His prophets before Him; and now you reject those who hope in Him, and in Him who sent Him—God the Almighty and Maker of all things—cursing in your synagogues those that believe in Christ. For you have not the power to lay hands upon us, on account of those who now have the mastery. But as often as you could, you did so”. (St. Justin Martyr, Dial. against Trypho, 16. 4, PG 6511).
This "theological hatred of the Synagogue for the Church” where “we see each page of the Acts of the Apostles, until the words of the Apocalypse where Jesus says to the Bishop of Smyrna: ‘I know thy tribulation and thy poverty, but thou art rich: and thou art blasphemed by them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan’ (Apoc. II: ix)” was well documented. Then, in order to describe the struggle between the Church and the Synagogue, the author quotes a text of Father Maximilian Kolbe:
"Part of the Jewish people recognized Jesus as the Messiah, others, especially the proud Pharisees, would not recognize Him, they persecuted His followers and began to enact many laws that required Jews to persecute Christians.
These laws, as well as some stories from earlier rabbis, were collected in the year AD80 by Rabbi Johanan ben Sakai and were finally completed around the year 200 by Rabbi Jehuda Hannasi, and thus was born the ‘Mishnah’. The rabbis later added many other things to ‘Mishnah’, so around 500AD Rabbi Huna ben Achai could now collect these appendages to form a separate volume, called ‘Gemara’. The ‘Mishnah’ and ‘Gemara’ together constitute the ‘Talmud’.
In the ‘Talmud’, these rabbis call Christians idolaters, murderers, whoremongers, feces, animals in human form, less than animals, sons of the devil, etc. Priests are called ‘kamarim’, ie diviners, and ‘galachim’, bald-headed, and in particular they do not like the souls consecrated to God in the religious life. Instead of ‘bejs tefillah’, house of prayer, they call the church ‘bejs tifla’, house of idiocy. They call images, medals, rosaries, etc., ‘elylym’, that is to say idols. In the ‘Talmud’, Sundays and holidays are called ‘jom ejd’, or days of perdition. They teach, furthermore, that a Jew is permitted to deceive, to steal from a Christian, since ‘all property of the disbelievers’, i.e. Christians, ‘is like the desert: the first to take it becomes its owner.’
This book, consisting of twelve volumes that inspire hatred against Christ and against Christians, is learnt by heart by the rabbis and is used as the basis for teaching the people, who are instructed that this is a sacred book, more important than Scripture, so much so that even God consults the expertise of the rabbis contained in the Talmud. It is not therefore surprising that neither the ordinary Jew nor Rabbi have any understanding of the religion of Christ, nourished as they are only by hatred towards their Redeemer, buried in the affairs of the temporal order, greedy for gold and power, they can not even imagine what peace and happiness on this earth, is offered by the faithful, ardent and generous love of Him Crucified! How it exceeds all the ‘joys’ of sense or intelligence offered by this miserable world!"
(The Writings of Fr. Kolbe – Ed. Citta di vita, 1978, vol. 3 p.253).
Father Kolbe also noted the relationship between Jews and Freemasonry.
“These leaders are those called "blue Masons," whilst so-called ‘red masonry’ is reserved to a very small number of people, mostly Jews, who, fully aware of the goals, direct all the great mass of those who are more or less ‘enlightened’ in the things of the Masonic organization. These leaders stay in the shadows and they always act secretly, making opposition impossible. They are the ones who plan the advance of the work. Out of their ‘workshops’ came the French Revolution, the whole series of revolutions from 1789 to 1815, and the World War ... " (op. cit. Vol. 3 p.604). “In addition, it is a matter of notorious public knowledge that it is the Jews who control Socialism and who currently govern in Bolshevik Russia”
(op. cit. p.52).
This is what the Society of Saint Pius X used to make its priests and faithful read. But since a meeting at Ecône from 30th June to 3rd July, 2010, the leaders of the Society decided that the ‘Jewish question’ was a trap and that the role of the Society was “to preach the doctrine of Christ the King, to keep the Faith and to convey the Catholic priesthood in its doctrinal purity and missionary charity”. Bishop Fellay also insisted that the priest be attentive to his sanctification: “The field of action of the Society is mostly supernatural… Avoiding some controversial issues should not prevent the fight for the Faith and the fight for Social Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ, etc.”
For Bishop Fellay, clerical sanctity through union with Christ in the Mass does not oppose the fight for the Faith. But by the same token how could the Jewish question, which is a theological question, be excluded from the preaching of the Society? Especially when we know, in the words of the Society teaching us in the 1985 article that, “St. Gregory the Great, St. Gregory III, Saint Nicolas I, Leo VII, Benedict VII, St. Gregory VII, Urban II, Celestine III, Innocent II, Gregory IX, Innocent IV, Alexander IV, Clement IV, Gregory X, Martin IV, Honorius IV, Nicolas IV, Clement V, John XXII, Benedict II, Clement VI, Urban V, Gregory XI, Martin V, Paul III, Julius III, Paul IV, St. Pius V, Clement VII, Paul V, Urban VIII, Clement X, Pope Innocent XI, Clement XII, Benedict XIV, Pius VI, Pope Pius VII, Leo XII, and Pius IX all denounced the conspiracy of Judaism against our Holy Mother Church, warning Christian peoples against their perfidious machinations”.
Should a priest of the Society of Saint Pius X who wants to live his “Catholic priesthood in its doctrinal purity and missionary charity” imitate the truncated holiness of Bishop Fellay and the neo-SSPX or should he imitate Father Kolbe who addressed Masons and Jews thus:
"Freemasons, reflect and say sincerely: is it not better to serve the Creator in inner peace and with a happy love, than to obey the orders of the cruel clique of mysterious, cunning, little-known Jews who hate you? And you, handful of Jews, ‘Elders of Zion’, concealed with divine permission, in order to test the faithful and the virtuous; you who have already knowingly caused so much misery and are preparing even more, I speak to you and I ask you: what's in it for you? Suppose that it is even now close to the time of the domination of the Antichrist as predicted, suppose you were preparing the way for him, were this case, each of you ought to ask himself: what advantage will I gain? A large accumulation of gold, pleasures, entertainment, power: all of that still does not make a man happy. And even if it could bring happiness, for how long would it last? Perhaps ten years, maybe twenty or a few years more or less ... We do not know when the thread of this life will be cut ... And afterwards? ... Would not it be better if you Masons bamboozled by a group of Jews, and you Jewish leaders, you who are seduced by Satan, the enemy of mankind, would it not be better for you too, that you turn sincerely to God, that you recognize the Saviour Jesus Christ, that you love and honour the Immaculate Conception, and, under her banner, you conquer souls? ... Or do you prefer to be a part of the head of the serpent that encircles the world and of which it was foretold: ‘She shall crush thy head’ (Gen.III.xv) ?"
The Jewish Test is in your hands... It’s the same Jewish test which Archbishop Di Noia will use: “Vatican II repudiated anti-Semitism and presents a positive picture of Judaism. John Paul II took us further in recognizing the significance of the Jewish People for Christianity itself. This is a new concept which we know the Traditionalists will not be able to accept immediately. Convincing them will take time, and in this respect we will have to be patient” (Catholic Family News, August 2012).
To be slandered with the term ‘anti-Semitic’ today is both a necessity and an honour. It is a necessity because our leaders make use of this hyper-elastic definition of anti-Semitism at their own leisure, whenever they are faced with anyone who dares to criticise them and we have absolutely no way to prevent them from playing this card. It is an honour because fighting and exposing the enemies of Christ, is fighting for Christ and for His Church.
“Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake: Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you”
(Matt. V, xi-xii)
