Catholics fighting for Tradition have good reason to rejoice, whereas tonight in Menzingen and Rome alike there will surely be wailing and gnashing of teeth!
Bishop Williamson today consecrated a new Bishop for Tradition at Santa Cruz Monastery in Brazil. Fr. Jean-Michel Faure was ordained a priest by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1977 and was his close confidant and collaborator, as well as being the first SSPX superior in South America. Archbishop Lefebvre originally intended to consecrate Fr. Faure in 1988, but the latter demured, suggesting Fr. de Galarreta instead. He tells us a little more about himself in a conference, translated by us last year, which can be found here.
Please remember both Bishops in your prayers and consider a donation to Santa Cruz Monastery (via their paypal) to help defray their costs.
(More pictures of the ceremony can be found over at Non Possumus).
Deo Gratias! Thank you Bishop Williamson!
